A 3-session campaign designed to learn D&D from an experienced Game Master! Everything you need to play provided - just bring yourself and your imagination. There are six pre-generated characters, so players don't have to worry about how to make a character. Every player takes home a Complimentary Loot Bag with a full set of D&D dice, Themed stickers, and a custom-made, wood miniature of the character you play! This program is run by Tabletop Commons.

For teens ages 13-17. Registration is required. You are registering to attend all three sessions.

The Smith Carillon Concert Series at Penn State Behrend features live Thursday evening performances in July and August on the lawn of the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel. The 2026 series includes guest artists:

-July 23 - Andrée-Anne Doane (St. Joseph's Oratory, Montreal, Quebec, Canada)
-July 30 - Sheryl Modlin (Church of the Saviour, Cleveland Heights, OH)
-August 6 - Julie Zhu (University of Michigan)
-August 13 - Michael Gancz (Stanford University)

Performances begin at 7 p.m. Attendees often bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the music from the 4-octave instrument. This concert series is free and open to the public.

The Smith Carillon Concert Series begins on Thursday, July 23, and continues each Thursday through August 13. The Smith Chapel's bell tower, adjacent to the Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel, contains the forty-eight-bell Floyd and Juanita Smith Carillon. The bells produce a massive sound that rolls weightlessly over the college campus and its surrounding hillside.

All concerts are free and open to the public. Free hot dogs and snacks will be served during the performances. Parking is available at Junker Center.

Seating for the Smith Carillon Concert Series is outdoors on the lawn of Smith Chapel; audience members are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. In the event of rain, seating may be offered inside the chapel. The sound carries, however, so visitors may utilize other areas of the Behrend campus, away from the bell tower.

Bring the fastest earthworm in your backyard to Blasco Memorial Library's 8th Annual Worm Races! Children ages 3-11 are invited to race a worm on one of our special tracks. Worms will compete until we have a victor, and the owners of the three fastest worms will receive a small prize.

The library will provide some worms, but not enough for every racer. Try to BYOW (bring your own worm) in a small container of dirt. After the race, worms will enjoy a well-deserved retirement in the library's staff garden!

Learn to use the Idea Lab’s Ultimaker S3 3D printers in this fun, interactive class. You will learn how 3D printing works, how to find and download files for printing, and how to submit a print to the Idea Lab.

Free. Registration required. Ages 13 to adult. The class will take place in the Idea Lab's Community Class. Intermediate computer skills are required. You will be using a laptop and need to feel comfortable switching between programs and tabs while following along with an instructor. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person with you to class.

If you arrive late, we cannot guarantee entry to the class. We often have a waitlist; your spot can be given away if you do not arrive at the scheduled time.
